Good Things Come To Those Who Wait!!

About a year ago when we were living with Norm and Dana We bought this desk on KSL for $50.00. Jared wanted to take on the task of re-finishing it. I thought he was crazy since he was working 60 hr weeks and had no time. When we moved he put it in the garage as a reminder, so every time he pulled in he would see it and want to finish it. About a week ago I got sick of seeing the office undone. "Jared PLEASE finish the desk already"!! Well I'm happy to report; he did. I am a PROUD wife.  This is the before pictures of the desk.

  This is after he sanded it and stained it.

 This is the finished product. He did such an amazing job. It looks so good. He has never done this before and I think he did fantastic. I am so proud of him. I'm glad I have a handy husband who is willing to take on task to save us money. This desk is mahogany and I love the natural red that comes through the stain. I love my new desk... love it!

I know you're wishing you had this desk... Don't be jealous!

8 years!

I LOVE this picture. That's why you see it every year.

I can't believe it's been 8 years! I love this man. He is my best friend. I do not know where I would be without him. Thanks for everything you do and thanks for all the love you give me. Let's keep going!

LOVE Day

The day started off by waking up to this homemade card Jared gave me. Every holiday Jared makes me his own card. I LOVE IT! He puts a lot of thought in to it. I would be really sad if I got a store bought card from him.

This was Leila's homemade V-card to Jared and me. She also made some for Abuela, Grandma and Papa and a few of her friends. She had a lot of fun making them.

Then It was off to gymnastics class for Leila. This was her first time ever. She loved it but also thought everything looked fun and wanted to do her own thing. The teacher had to grab her a few times to explain that she could not run off by her self. This class will be good for her. She is so strong-willed and needs to learn structure, this class is a prefect way to do it.

 Later that night when Jared got home we made him his favorite dinner.

 Is your mouth drooling yet?? DANA and NORM's are for sure.

It was good and I don't like stake that much. Leila got homemade spaghetti her favorite dinner. Just like Wendy!

After dinner we played with daddy and watched Dora till it was time for bed. Leila loves her new cars pj's.

 She was really in to Dora!

 We had a great LOVE day. Jared took me out on a date Thursday just the two of us. He got me flowers and everything. It was fun to get away without the kids. I didn't get pictures sorry!

Hulk

Jared loves the Hulk. The other day we were watching Hulk, the movie and I gave him his Hulk that he's had since he was a little kid. You can tell how old Jared is. It’s been sewn so many times. Anyway this is what he did that night.

All Mine

This is a little late I know but I just got the pictures. In April Jared and I celebrated our 7 year anniversary. It hit on a Sunday this year. Jared and I went to church and when we got home Jared said he really wanted to go see the house and see the progress on it. So while Leila took a nap we drove over to our house and this is what I found inside.How sweet is he? He had his sister, Wendy buy Village Baker, Chicken salad, and bread (LOVE that stuff) on Saturday. On Sunday, on our anniversary while we were at church she went to our house and set it all up. We had our first meal in our house April 11th 2010 while it was still being built. Love this man and he is all mine. A big THANKS to Wendy and Luke for all your hard work you guys are the best.
