Navidad 2010

Christmas was so much fun this year. Leila loved everything about it. She played with the tree and the orniments everyday. We watched tons of holiday movies, ate candy canes and other festive treats and Jared pounded the Nog as usual.

We are doing our best to show Leila that there is more to life than Mater & Lightning McQueen. All month we asked her if she wanted Santa to bring her princes stuff. It worked! Christmas morning she was excited to put on her princess dress and glass slippers.

We had a great Christmas. We had so much fun with Conrad and Leila.We ate good food and spent time with family and friends but we missed Grandma and Papa.

Santa

The Santa experience didn't go over as well as I had hoped this year. I thought she would like Santa and would want to talk to him. NOPE!!  Look at what she did the whole time.

Nope!!

Some Fun

It was cold outside so we went to the mall to find some cheap, fun things for Leila to do. She LOVES the carousel. We can't just go once she always wants to keep going.

When she saw the train cruising through the mall, she chased it from one end and back to the starting line.

Rice krispies

I opended the box and this is what I found.

We started Christmas by making red and green rice krispies. YUMMY! Leila had a fun time making them.

Lights at Thanksgiving Pointe

John, Leslie and Hali invited us to Thanksgiving Pointe. John's dad, Bob rented a trolley that took us around to see all the lights. It was fun, I didn't even know they had lights. Leila and Hali were in heaven. Those two just love each other. After lights we went in to one of the shops and ate some yummy ice cream. Leila and Hali were running around the whole time chasing each other. Thanks Roberts!!!

Christmas Dress

 Holding her favorite movie "CARS". Out of all the movies, she chooses this one.

Grandma and Papa Springer sent us this hand painted hand made glass ornament from Norway. We let Leila put it on the tree but then she wanted "Leila's ball" back. So she got on the ground and cried "Leila's ball, it's Leila's".

She was still sad but realized it was not the end of the world.

Christmas Part 2

We had fun seeing Leila open her gifts this year. She still does not get it all the way but she was happy with all her gifts. Her favorite gift was " Little Einsteins" DVD. She walked around the whole house showing everyone her movie. She has seen it so much that we all have the theme song memorized. I think next year will be even better. I just cant believe how big she is. I don't have a baby anymore.
