Ear Tubes

This little man has had 6 no 7 ear infections in one year. Poor little guy. He is such a good boy. He still sleeps all night and never cries when in pain. He just puts up with it.

He got tubes put in this month and he was such a good sport. I woke him up at 6:00 am and took him to PCMC Hospital. He was acting so cute. I'm really sad I forgot my phone and camera and couldn't take pictures of him in his hospital gown. He was being so cute with the nurse. When the anesthesiologist took him from me to go to the OR, I started to cry. The poor nurse was like "he'll be OK, it'll only take 5 minuets". I was like "Sure...5 minuets, yeah right".

She took me to the waiting room and 5 minuets later the nurse came out and said "Conrad's mom"? WOW! It was so fast. When I went back to the recovery room he was just waking up. He was not happy with me! "What did you do to me"? After a few minuets I started feeding him and he calmed down. After a half hour in the recovery room they let him go home. It was that simple. I felt silly for crying, but it was hard to see the Dr take him away and know that they were going to put him to sleep.

We are hoping the tubes work. So far so good.

These pictures were 1 hour after he had his tubes put in. He was back to himself right away. He was playing with Sister and wanted to be on the floor, playing with toys and crawling all over. I just can't get enough of him. I love him so much!!
